Provided is a sun visor device for a vehicle, whereby no glare occurs and lighting and extinguishing of a vanity mirror lamp can be controlled by a simple configuration without providing an electronic component in a sun visor body. A sun visor device for a vehicle, having a sun visor body (10) in which is mounted a vanity mirror (12) which can be opened and closed by a sliding lid (13), a bracket (20) for rotatably attaching the sun visor body (10) to a vehicle body via a hollow shaft (30), and a vanity mirror lamp (22) for lighting when the vanity mirror (12) is opened by the sliding lid (13), the sun visor body (10) being provided with a rod (17) for moving so as to pass through the hollow shaft (30), and a rod movement mechanism for moving the rod (17) in mechanical conjunction with sliding of the sliding lid (13), and the bracket (20) being provided with a switch means (21) for turning on and off a supply of electric power to the vanity mirror lamp (22), the switch means (21) being operated by movement of the rod. |
