摘要 The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th-generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE).;The method includes: receiving information on a battery threshold of a terminal from a base station; determining whether to use a reception beam width wider than a currently used reception beam width, by comparing a battery level of the terminal with the battery threshold; transmitting additional resource request information to the base station when it is determined that a wider reception beam width is used; and when an additional resource corresponding to the additional resource request information is allocated from the base station, blocking a power supply of at least one antenna reception circuit among multiple antenna reception circuits corresponding to multiple antenna elements in order to form at least one reception beam having the wide reception beam width.
