PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for improving skin condition and appearance.SOLUTION: There is provided the composition comprising: (a) a safe and effective amount of prenylated isoflavonoid sufficient for increasing collagen 1A1 and elastin gene expression in normal human dermal fibroblasts; and (b) a cosmetically- or dermatologically-acceptable carrier for the prenylated isoflavonoid, wherein the prenylated isoflavonoid is present in an amount of from about 0.0000001% to about 10%, and the carrier is present in an amount of from about 50% to about 99% based on the total weight of the composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None
