摘要 A heat transfer approach to the calculation of residual power of used nuclear fuel (UNF). This application is a conceptual design of an alternative method for determination of residual power of UNF. Our approach is based on the heat transfer analysis of UNF in the transport container with a compact storage cask. To our knowledge, the proposed method for the calculation of residual power of UNF directly in the transport container is unique and can also provide an effective tool to verify the SCALE 6 in order to ensure the safe transport of the UNF.
