PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet conveyance mechanism which can efficiently straighten the curling tendency of a paper sheet part drawn from roll paper.SOLUTION: In a printer 1, a paper sheet part P is drawn from roll paper R wound in a roll form, and thereby the paper sheet part P is conveyed. As the roll diameter of the roll paper R becomes smaller, tension in a conveyance direction applied to the paper sheet part P becomes weaker. A paper sheet conveyance mechanism includes: a straightening part S which is brought into contact with an outer surface Po of the paper sheet part P passing therethrough and straightens the curling tendency of the paper sheet part P; an upstream side pressing part F1 which is arranged upstream of the straightening part S in the conveyance direction and presses the paper sheet part P from one side; and a downstream side pressing part F2 which is arranged downstream of the straightening part S in the conveyance direction and presses the paper sheet part P from the one side.
