A liquid crystal display (20) and an array substrate (21) thereof. Each pixel unit (50) of the liquid crystal display (20) comprises a pixel electrode. Each pixel electrode comprises multiple long gaps (52) and multiple long first electrode patterns (51), the gaps (52) and the first electrode patterns (51) being arranged alternatingly; in the multiple pixel units (50), the sum of the areas of the first electrode patterns (51) in each pixel unit (50) gradually decreases along the directions from the central region of the liquid crystal display (20) toward the regions at either side of the liquid crystal display (20). The method enables an even display brightness for the liquid crystal display (20) and reduces or eliminates the phenomenon of excessive brightness at either side.
