Disclosed herein are articles of footwear (100) and footwear components (e.g., footwear outsoles (112), and the like), and methods of manufacturing articles of footwear (100), at least a portion of which are composed of a material (116). The material (116) can include an ethylene-alkyl acrylate copolymer component composed of an ethylene-alkyl acrylate copolymer or a combination of two or more ethylene-alkyl acrylate copolymers. Additionally or alternatively, the material (116) can be an open-cell foam material having an average cell diameter ranging from 0.65 mm to 1.4 mm. The articles of footwear (100) and components of footwear are effective to prevent or reduce soil accumulation during use on unpaved surfaces.
