Disclosed is a dispersion detection method in an optical transmission network. The method comprises: converting data of two orthogonal polarization states from time-domain data into frequency-domain data, extracting the frequency-domain data and implementing linear combination operation, acquiring the dispersion value argument of the data of the two polarization states according to the result of the linear combination operation, and estimating the dispersion value according to the dispersion value argument of the data of the two polarization states. Also disclosed are a dispersion detection device in an optical transmission network and a storage medium.
