This technology pertains to a signal-processing apparatus, a control method, an imaging element, and an electronic device that make it possible to minimize RTS noise. This signal-processing apparatus may be provided with an amplifier transistor that amplifies a signal inputted to the gate thereof and a short-circuiting unit that can short-circuit the gate of said amplifier transistor to an electric potential that reduces the gate-source voltage of the amplifier transistor. For example, a determination could be made as to whether or not an amplifier transistor that amplifies a signal inputted to the gate thereof is currently in an inactive state, and if so, the gate of said amplifier transistor could be short-circuited to a potential that reduces the gate-source voltage of the amplifier transistor. This technology could be applied, for example, to an imaging element or an electronic device. |
