A wool blanket (1), comprising a pile layer (11), a dacron layer (12) and a composite skin layer (13), wherein the pile layer (11) is knitted on the upper surface of the dacron layer (12), the lower surface of the dacron layer (12) is connected to the composite skin layer (13), and the thickness of the pile layer (11) is 15-30 mm; and the dacron layer (12) is knitted by warp threads (121) and weft threads (122), with a pair of warp threads (121) being alternately knitted above and below each weft thread (122) in a plain knitting form and at least one U-shaped pile thread (111) being fixed to a weft thread (122) between two adjacent warp threads (121). Provided are a production process for the above-mentioned wool blanket (1) and a pile loop cut knitting machine (2) for knitting the wool blanket. The colour and length of the pile thread (111) used in the wool blanket (1) is more uniform after a primary treatment; and the thickness and quantity of the U-shaped pile threads (111) implanted to the weft thread (122) can be adjusted according to needs. The knitted wool blanket has a large gram weight, a high density and a more comfortable sense of touch. |
