SHVC APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CBF DECISION OF ENHANCEMENT LAYER THEREOF

The present invention relates to a method for determining a code block flag (CBF) of an enhancement layer in an SHVC device. The method comprises the following steps of: calculating a feature value of a base layer by using a restored residual signal of a base layer corresponding to a coded unit (CU) that an enhancement layer is to encode; and determining a CBF of the enhancement layer by comparing the feature value with a predetermined threshold value. Therefore, the method can rapidly determine the CBF of the enhancement layer.
