The present invention relates to benefit agent containing delivery particles, compositions comprising said particles, and processes for making and using the aforementioned particles and compositions. When employed in compositions, for example, cleaning or fabric care compositions, such particles increase the efficiency of benefit agent delivery, thereby allowing reduced amounts of benefit agents to be employed. In addition to allowing the amount of benefit agent to be reduced, such particles allow a broad range of benefit agents to be employed. |

1. A composition comprising an adjunct material and benefit agent delivery particles comprising a core and a shell, said shell encapsulating said core, said shell comprising:
a) styrene maleic anhydride monomethylmaleate, and/or a salt thereof, said styrene maleic anhydride monomethylmaleate, and/or a salt thereof having one or more of the following properties:
(i) a molar ratio of styrene to maleic anhydride of from about 9:1 to about 1:9;(ii) a weight average molecular weight of from about 1,000 Da to about 100,000,000 Da;(iii) a density of from about 1.03 g/cm3 to about 1.11 g/cm3;(iv) a hydrolysis degree of from about 20% to about 95% b) optionally:
(i) an aminoplast polymer;(ii) a material selected from the group consisting of a polyacrylate, a polyethylene glycol acrylate, a polyurethane acrylate, an epoxy acrylate, a polymethacrylate, a polyethylene glycol methacrylate, a polyurethane methacrylate, an epoxy methacrylate and mixtures thereof;(iii) a reaction product of one or more aromatic alcohols and one or materials comprising at least one aldehyde moiety; and/or(iv) the reaction product of melamine or a methylenediamine having the structure CH2(NH2)2, a material comprising one or more aldehyde moieties, an alkoxy ethanol and an acid c) optionally, a colloid; and d) optionally, an emulsifier said composition being a slurry which is a product other than a consumer product. |
