The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for responding to an emergency in a hybrid power supply system of an offshore plant. In an apparatus for responding to an emergency in a hybrid power supply system in an offshore plant according to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is an apparatus for responding to an emergency, which comprises: a power generator; an AC/DC converter for converting the alternating current generated by the power generator into a direct current to supply the direct current to a DC bus; a power load connected to the DC bus to generate regenerative electric power; a power storage unit connected to the DC bus to store the power; a first emergency sensor installed in the offshore plant to detect an emergency situation and to transmit a first emergency detecting signal to a VFD control unit; and, the VFD control unit for consuming the power of the power storage unit when the first emergency detecting signal is received from the first emergency sensor.
