CUTTING UNIT FOR CUTTING STRIP OF PACKING MATERIAL WITH REVERSIBLE ADJUSTING DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING BLADE POSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting unit for cutting strips of a packing material which enables mutual position adjustment between two blades to be conducted in a simple and fast way and is easily produced at low costs.SOLUTION: A cutting unit 5 includes: blades 11, 9; a supporting body 12 having a seat 13 for housing the blade; and an adjusting member 15. The adjusting member is inserted in a slide channel 16 formed in the supporting body so as to slide axially along the slide channel and is coupled mechanically to the blade to adjust the position of the blade according to an axial position of the adjusting member itself along the slide channel. The supporting body is divided into a movable portion 21 in which the seat housing the blade is formed and a fixed portion 22 located adjacent to the movable portion. The movable portion is elastically movable with respect to the fixed portion by elastic deformation. The adjusting member generates a variable thrust that moves the movable portion away from the fixed portion in between the movable portion of the supporting body and the fixed portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
