PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device which conducts communication in a method other than cable communication with a communication cable and radio communication.SOLUTION: A welding power supply device 1 of a welding device 5 includes: a power supply part 11 which converts electric power supplied from an electric power system through an electric power line 14 into electric power suitable for arc welding and outputs the electric power; and a communication part 13 which transmits and receives a communication signal through the electric power line 14. The welding power supply device 1 conducts communication through the electric power line with a welding management device 6 which similarly conducts communication through an electric power line 64 to which electric power is supplied. The structure eliminates the need for a communication cable which connects the welding power supply device 1 with the welding management device 6 and eases attenuation of the communication signal and influence of noise compared to a case where radio communication is conducted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
