An electronic cigarette (1) and an atomizing component (50) thereof. The atomizing component (50) comprises a ventilation pipe (51), an e-liquid guide thread (52) running across the sidewall of the ventilation pipe (51), and a heating element (53) arranged in the ventilation pipe (51) and fitted onto the e-liquid guide thread (52). Two opposite through holes (510) are provided on the sidewall of the ventilation pipe (51). The e-liquid guide thread (52) is arranged through the two through holes (510) and the opposite two extremities of the e-liquid guide thread (52) are exposed outside of the ventilation pipe (51). A notch (512) is also provided on the sidewall of the ventilation pipe (51). The notch (512) is in communication with the through holes (510) to allow the e-liquid guide thread (520) to pass transversely through the through holes (510). By providing on the ventilation pipe (510) the notch (512) in communication with the through holes (510), two portions of the ventilation pipe (51) being separated by the notch (512) are pulled apart to a certain angle, one opening of a certain width can thus be formed on the closed through holes (510), thus allowing the e-liquid guide thread (52) to be placed transversely into the through holes (510), obviating the trouble with through hole mounting, and facilitating to a great extent the mounting of the e-liquid guide thread (52). |
