A chair or stool (1 ) for use by school students is disclosed. The stool has a seat (2) supported by a leg structure (3) which preferably has four legs (5-8). A cross brace (19) extending between the upper portions of the rear legs is kinked to form a hook (20). A bag (22) can be suspended from the hook by means of a shoulder strap (23). The bag is located within the floor area occupied by the stool and so does not encroach upon aisles formed by rows of stools. The bag lowers the centre of gravity of the stool and so the stool and leg combination is not liable to tip over. |
