PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for preparing suspensions of a fiber-containing substance.SOLUTION: A device 1 for preparing a substance suspension, in particular a pulp suspension, is provided with: stator sheets 30 provided in a container 2 and designed as baffles; and a rotor 4 provided in the container 2 and on which a dispersing disk 8 is provided. The device 1 includes an annular elimination element 20 provided in the container 2 and including an outer surface 22 which is spaced some distance away from an inner surface 23 of a wall 24 of the container 2. An inner opening part 21 of the elimination element 20 that is arranged coaxially with the rotor 4 is formed into a hopper-like shape and an expanded area of the opening part points to the cover 3 of the container 2. The stator sheets 30 provided in the container 2 form a channel 25 between the outer surface 22 of the elimination element 20 and an inner surface 23 of the wall 24 of the container 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
