摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hardly graphitizable carbon material which, when used as a negative electrode material for a lithium-ion secondary battery, can reduce the volume resistivity of a negative electrode and improve input/output characteristics.SOLUTION: A method for producing the hardly graphitizable carbon material comprises the steps of: subjecting a raw material for the hardly graphitizable carbon material to a crosslinking treatment and/or an infusibilizing treatment; and mixing the crosslinked product and/or the infusibilized product with a graphitization material and/or a carbon material and then mechanochemically treating the mixture. The mechanochemically treated product is fired to obtain the hardly graphitizable carbon material.SELECTED DRAWING: None
