A device for mobile video surveillance recording, methods for using the device, and methods for managing information obtained (e.g., recorded) by the device is disclosed. This disclosure also relates to a surveillance device configured for use by a law enforcement agency and methods of use that satisfy evidentiary requirements. Evidentiary requirements may include maintaining strict integrity of information collected by the surveillance device and comprehensive audit tracking regarding access to, or modification of, the collected information. The device of this disclosure may comprise multiple functional modules incorporated into a single comprehensive form factor (e.g., enclosure, casing) with minimal external cabling and installation requirements. The single comprehensive form factor may facilitate maintenance and/or replacement, as needed. |
