PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security of particular data in a printer having a built-in server function capable of receiving data requests via multiple types of communication with different security levels.SOLUTION: A printer receives a first data request transmitted via non-SSL communication as communication having a first security level, and a second data request transmitted via SSL communication as communication having a second security level with higher level security secured, in transmission page data selection processing; determines, if a particular data request to request particular data is received, whether the particular data request is a first data request to request a particular web page or a second data request other than that; and transmits other data different from the particular data to a transmission source device if the particular data request is the first data request. The other data includes information on a warning page to let the transmission source retransmit the particular data request via communication having the second security level.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
