PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust suction type water heater capable of more reliably suppressing the occurrence of oscillatory burning of a burner.SOLUTION: A water heater comprises: a premixing burner 2 burning a fuel-air mixture and thereby generating combustion gas; a heat exchanger heating hot water flowing inside by heat exchange with the combustion gas generated by the burner; and a fan drawing in the combustion gas after passing through the heat exchanger and discharging the combustion gas to outside. The burner includes: a burner case 21 partitioned into a combustion chamber and a gas introduction chamber by a partition plate 20; and a plurality of combustion pipes 22 disposed in the combustion chamber. An air supply opening 25 for supplying air into the gas introduction chamber is provided in the burner case. The partition plate includes: a plurality of opening portions 20aa, 20ab communicating with inside of the combustion pipes; and a plurality of through-holes 20b communicating with outside of the combustion pipes. The air supply opening 25 is configured to have a smaller opening area than a sum of a total opening area of the plurality of opening portions and a total opening area of the plurality of through-holes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
