PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical instrument capable of achieving minimization and power saving while detecting a reference position in a short time.SOLUTION: A lens barrel includes: a lens holding frame 2 for holding a lens 1 moving in a range sectioned into a plurality of reference positions A to G; a stepping motor 5 for driving the lens holding frame; a plurality of photointerrupters 25; and lens control means 100 that controls driving of the stepping motor 5 on the basis of the reference positions, and detects the reference positions on the basis of the detection result by the photointerrupters 25. The signal output of at least one photointerrupter changes at the reference positions. When detecting the reference positions, the lens control means drives the stepping motor 5 in the driving direction determined on the basis of the combination of the signal output of the plurality of photointerrupters, and discriminates the reference positions on the basis of information on photointerrupters of which the signal output is switched after driving.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
