The present invention relates to a secondary battery with a structure joining a cap sealing a can and an electrode tap of an electrode assembly (jelly roll). The secondary battery of the present invention includes: the can; the electrode assembly received inside the can; and the cap sealing the can. In addition, the secondary battery includes a weld coupling unit formed by welding the electrode tap taken out from the electrode assembly with the cap. The weld coupling unit includes identification code patterns containing product information, thereby forming an identification code welding unit. According to the composition of the secondary battery with the structure joining the cap sealing the can and the electrode tap of the electrode assembly, a process can be simplified by integrating a welding step of welding the cap and the electrode tap and a step of printing or engraving the product information. In addition, a welding quality is increased as the number of welding spots increases by identification pattern welding, and an effect of providing the accurate product information of the corresponding product is obtained by reflecting the product information inside a product using the identification code pattern.
