Disclosed are a device and a method to sense a vehicle by using a terrestrial magnetism sensor. The vehicle sensing device of the present invention recognizes a vehicle by sensing a change in terrestrial magnetism by the vehicle, passing through a passage. At this point, the vehicle sensing device is capable of accurately calculating the number of passing vehicles by using an additional distance sensor even when a change of the terrestrial magnetism is not distinguished for each vehicles since the vehicles consecutively pass. |
