The present invention relates to a method and apparatus of estimating a channel and restoring an interference channel in a filter-bank multi-carrier (FBMC) system. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method of reducing interference of a signal in a receiver of the FBMC system comprises the steps of: extracting data and a reference signal from a received FMBC symbol; obtaining a diagonal component channel of a required symbol through channel estimation from the extracted reference signal; generating a non-diagonal component of the required symbol, a diagonal component of an interference symbol, and an interference channel matrix using the channel-estimated diagonal component; reconfiguring a banded channel matrix using the interference channel matrix; and reducing interference included in the extracted data using the reconfigured banded channel matrix and the filter information of a transmitter included in the FBMC system.
