PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce discomfort to an observer due to color shift of display colors in an image display device.SOLUTION: There is provided an image display device including: display means having a plurality of pixels comprising sub pixels of a plurality of colors and for displaying an image based on image data to be input by transmitting light from a light source at a transmittance set for each of the sub pixels; setting means for setting the transmittance of each of the sub pixels of the display means according to a pixel value of each of pixels of the image data; and acquisition means for acquiring brightness of transmitted light of each of the pixels of the display means, where the setting means corrects the transmittance of each of the sub pixels so as to reduce a difference between a color of the transmitted light and a target color based on the pixel value for pixels having the brightness of the transmitted light equal to or larger than a threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
