A variety of embodiments of the present invention relate to a method for classifying content. The method comprises the following steps of: setting at least one category in a hierarchical structure; mapping at least one content and the at least one category based on at least one from information on the at least one content and information on the at least one category; and updating the hierarchical structure of the category corresponding to a preset condition when content-related information of each category determined in accordance with the mapping satisfies the preset condition. Therefore, the method changes a structure of a category according to content mapped on each category of a hierarchical structure to redistribute the content, thereby enabling a user to easily use the content. In addition, other embodiments are possible aside from the variety of embodiments of the present invention.
