Provided are a method and an apparatus for predicting a transcription factor for a biological process. The method of predicting a transcription factor comprises the following steps of: obtaining N number of items of expression data related to gene information; selecting M number of items of expression data based on similarities of the expression data, and forming the selected M number of items of expression data as a first group; comparing the expression data of the first group with expression data of a plurality of transcription factors; and identifying at least one transcription factor having a high similarity, so as to predict a transcription factor.
