PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, when producing propylene oxide by a cumene hydroperoxide method, it requires high power consumption.SOLUTION: Provided is a production method of propylene oxide including steps 1-4: a step 1 for supplying a stream 1 obtained in an epoxidation reaction to a first propylene recovery tower I, then obtaining a first light component stream 2, a first heavy component stream 3, and a side stream 4 including propylene, then, dividing the side stream 4 into a first side stream 5 and a second side stream 6; a step 2 for supplying the first side stream 5 to a depropanizing tower II and then obtaining a second light component stream 7 and a second heavy component stream 8; a step 3 for performing heat insulation flash separation to the first heavy component stream 3 for obtaining a third light component stream 9 and a third heavy component stream 10 including propylene or the like; and a step 4 for supplying the third light component stream 9 and the third heavy component stream 10 to a second propylene recovery tower IV.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
