PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery whose initial irreversible capacity is improved, and a nonaqueous electrolyte.SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte contains a compound represented by formula (1) and further contains at least one of a fluorine-substituted oxoacid salt, an aromatic-containing carbonate ester, and a compound represented by formula (2).
