AIR INTAKE CHAMBER FOR SADDLED VEHICLE

摘要

An air intake chamber for a motorcycle is disposed downstream of a supercharger, for pressurizing and supplying an intake air to an engine, and upstream of a throttle body, for controlling the amount of the intake air to be supplied to an air intake port of the engine. The air intake chamber serves to accumulate the high pressure intake air discharged from the supercharger. The air intake chamber is provided with an injector, which has a fuel injecting port positioned at a location displaced from an axis of an outlet of the air intake chamber.

An air intake chamber for a saddle-riding type vehicle, which chamber is disposed downstream of the supercharger and upstream of a throttle body, which supercharger is operable to pressurize and supply an intake air to a combustion chamber, which throttle body is operable to control the amount of the intake air to be supplied to an air intake port of the combustion engine, which chamber accumulates the pressurized intake air and comprises:
an injector having a fuel injection port defined therein at a location upstream side of an outlet of the air intake chamber and displaced from an axis of the outlet wherein: the air intake chamber is disposed diagonally upwardly and rearwardly of a cylinder block of the combustion engine; the injector is disposed on an upper surface of the air intake chamber; and an air intake duct for guiding an incoming wind, then flowing forwardly of the combustion engine, towards the supercharger passes laterally of the cylinder block.
