The present invention relates to a technique for controlling electromagnetic waves released by a mobile telephone, such as smartphone or the like, during communications and provides a wideband waveguide that controls electromagnetic waves released by a mobile telephone such that the electromagnetic waves are released toward a hand of a user. The distance between a mobile telephone and a waveguide and the distance between the waveguide and a hand of a user are three to six percent of the wavelength, and hence the design under the condition of near field was a problem. A method using actual measurements has solved this problem and achieved a wideband near-field waveguide obtained by processing a metallic thin plate. This component can be added to a mobile telephone, such as smartphone or the like, and used, thereby reducing the amount of electromagnetic waves, which are to be received by the head of a user, to one fourth to one tenth within all of the frequency bands used by the mobile telephone. |
