An organic electroluminescent element which comprises a positive electrode, a light emitting layer and a negative electrode. The light emitting layer contains a first compound, a second compound and a third compound. The first compound is a delayed fluorescent compound. The energy gap T77K of the first compound at 77 (K) is larger than the energy gap T77K of the second compound at 77 (K), and the energy gap T77K of the third compound at 77 (K) is larger than the energy gap T77K of the second compound at 77 (K). The second compound is a compound represented by general formula (2) and having a fused ring structure that has 8 or less rings in total. |
