This invention addresses the problem of providing the following: an organic EL module that combines light-emission functionality with touch-detection functionality, contains a plurality of organic EL panels laid out in series and a specific control circuit, prevents erroneous touch detection between EL elements, makes a small format and low film thickness possible, and allows process simplification; and a smart device and an illumination apparatus provided with said organic EL module. This organic EL module is characterized by having touch-detection functionality and being provided with a touch-detection circuit unit and a light-emitting-element-driving circuit unit for an organic EL panel. This organic EL module is also characterized in that: said organic EL panel has a structure in which two or more organic EL elements are connected in series; and said organic EL elements have independent detecting means that can perform touch detection independently.
