Here, a method of controlling a digital device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: accessing a relay; detecting an external device located within a predetermined distance and accessing the relay; receiving an audio reference data transmission request from the detected external device; and transmitting requested audio reference data to the external device. Therefore, a voice recognition rate of the digital device may be increased using an AEC function.
