PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fault detection of a detection member detecting a rise of a liquid level in a drain tank resulting from clogging of the drain tank or the like in an exhaust gas attraction, latent heat recovery water heater including the drain tank having a water sealing mechanism.SOLUTION: A drain discharge passage includes a drain tank 8 having a water sealing mechanism, the drain tank includes a first chamber 81 having a drain inlet 8a provided therein; and a second chamber 82 separated from the first chamber by a partition wall, communicating with the first chamber via a hole 8e, and having a drain discharge port 8c provided therein for discharging drain, the second chamber includes a drain storage portion 82A that can store the drain up to a draft level at a higher position than a position of an upper end of the hole, and the first chamber includes a detection member 8g detecting that a liquid level in the first chamber reaches a predetermined detection level. A height difference between the detection level and the draft level of the first chamber is greater than a height of a water head obtained by converting a difference between an atmospheric pressure and a lowest pressure at the drain inlet into the water head.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
