PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism capable of easily and reliably removing adhering dust etc. from an optical component in an optical unit having a constitution that the optical component changes the position within the unit.SOLUTION: The optical unit incorporated in an imaging apparatus, includes: an optical component movable between a first position where an effective ray is allowed to pass therethrough and a second position where the effective ray does not pass therethrough; drive means for driving the optical component to move; a guide rail that regulates the position of the optical component in an optical axis direction when moving between the first position and the second position; and an outer cover covering the periphery of the optical component. The outer cover also includes a through hole that is formed for injecting a gas to blow dust adhering on the optical component. The through hole is formed at a position facing to the guide rail being interposed by the optical component.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17 |
