The present disclosure relates to a method and device for automatically connecting a wireless local area network, which are used for reducing the probability of failure of automatic connection and reducing interference for users. The method comprises: when the connection state of a wireless local area network is in a non-connection state and a first wireless local area network is detected, according to the name of a peripheral wireless local area network currently found by searching, generating a first wireless local area network list; comparing the first wireless local area network list with a pre-stored second wireless local area network list to obtain a comparison result; and when the comparison result complies with a preset condition, according to pre-stored connection information about a second wireless local area network, initiating a connection request to the first wireless local area network. The technical solution of the present disclosure can increase the accuracy rate for judging the same wireless local area network, thereby reducing the probability of failure of automatic connection and reducing interference for users. |
