SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF BOIL OFF GAS

A boil-off gas treatment system and method are disclosed. The boil-off gas treatment system comprises: a storage tank which is prepared in a ship or an offshore structure and stores low-temperature liquid cargo therein; a refrigerant circulating part which receives boil-off gas generated from the low-temperature liquid cargo stored in the storage tank and allows the boil-off gas to circulate as refrigerants; a refrigerant supply line which supplies the boil-off gas from the storage tank to the refrigerant circulating part; and a cutoff valve which is prepared in the refrigerant supply line. Therefore, the present invention improves traffic efficiency by effectively treating boil-off gas generated in the storage tank where liquid cargo is stored.
