The present disclosure describes a tire management system (44) for a vehicle (10). The tire management system (44) includes a first load sensor (40) that determines a first load placed on a first tire (16, 18) of the vehicle (10), a first pressure sensor (50) that determines a first fluid pressure within the first tire (12, 16), a control unit (52) communicatively coupled to the first load sensor (40) and to the first pressure sensor (50). The control unit (52) generates a first fluid pressure adjustment instruction based at least in part on the first load determined by the first load sensor (40) and the first fluid pressure determined by the first pressure sensor (50). Additionally, the tire management system includes a first valve (48) fluidly coupled to the first tire (16, 18) and communicatively coupled to the control unit (52), in which the first valve (48) adjusts the first fluid pressure within the first tire (16, 18) based at least in part on the first fluid pressure adjustment instruction. |
