The present invention relates to a system and a method for monitoring errors of photoelectric cable assembly. According to the present invention, the system for monitoring errors of photoelectric cable assembly comprises: a power line unit including a conductor: and an optical fiber unit which is adjacent with the power line unit, and including one or more optical fibers; a power supply unit for supplying power, which is higher than or equal to a predetermined value, by selectively connecting to the conductor; and a monitoring apparatus for determining whether an error is generated in the power line unit and a position in which the error is generated, by sensing a sound signal generated in the power line unit by an optical signal of the one or more optical fibers.
