PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality evaluation method and a quality evaluation device capable of easily performing a quality evaluation of a bedrock or a rock existing underwater.SOLUTION: A quality evaluation method of the present application for evaluating the quality of a bedrock R of an ocean floor includes: a boring step of boring an investigation hole 103 having a predetermined depth in a bedrock R of an ocean floor; a rod body 53 for holding the rear end side by a diver D; an acceleration data acquisition step of acquiring acceleration data of a hammer 11a by an acceleration sensor 11b by inserting a collusion tool 51 into the investigation hole 103 and making a collusion surface 11d of the hammer 11a collide against a bottom surface 103a of the investigation hole 103 and thereby acquiring the acceleration data of the hammer 11a by the acceleration sensor 11b using a collusion tool 51 having a rod body 53 for holding the rear end side by the diver D and the hammer 11a connected to the front end part of the rod body 53 and having the acceleration sensor 11b and a spherical collision surface 11d; a deformation characteristic calculation step of making a calculation device calculate a deformation characteristic of the bedrock R using the elastic contact theory of Hertz; and a quality determination step of determining the quality of the bedrock R based on the deformation characteristic acquired by the deformation characteristic calculation step. |
