<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically control rapid agitation intensity to a proper value corresponding to the quality of raw water or the kind of a flocculant. <P>SOLUTION: A control apparatus 22 agitates raw water, in which the flocculant is injected, under a plurality of agitation intensity conditions, measures the time from the injection of the flocculant to the start of the flocculation of particles in the raw water and the maximum floc particle size at every a plurality of proper agitation intensities, calculates the agitation intensity capable of obtaining the maximum floc particle size as proper agitation intensity on the basis of the relation between the maximum floc particle size and agitation intensity while calculates the time from the injection of the flocculant in agitation to the start of the flocculation of the particles in the raw water as the proper agitation intensity on the basis of the relation between the time from the start of the flocculation of the particles in the raw water and the agitation intensity and calculates the agitation intensity of a flash mixer using the proper agitation intensity and the proper agitation time to control the flash mixer so as to perform the rapid agitation of the raw water under the calculated agitation intensity condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
