The invention aims to provide a spoke wheel which can use low cost spokes without changing the outer diameter of the spoke. In a spoke wheel 10, a short elbow spoke 40 and a long elbow spoke 50 are crossed in an x-shape in side view. The short elbow spoke 40 and the long elbow spoke 50 are respectively disposed such that the short elbow spoke 40 receives force during braking and the long elbow spoke 50 receives force during driving. As the force during driving is less than the force during braking, the long elbow spoke does not need to be as strong as the short elbow spoke. Thus, there is no need to thicken the long elbow spoke or to use expensive material, and so it is possible to use a low cost spoke without changing the outer diameter of the spoke. |
