PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract listening sounds corresponding to a view on the world of games without complicating the structure of an acoustic space.SOLUTION: The video game processing apparatus 100 includes an acoustic management table 12a for managing listening sounds which can be heard at a prescribed listening position P in a virtual space as acoustic information to be output from a sound output part 14 disposed in the video game processing apparatus 100; and a sound source object information storage part 12b for storing sound source object information including an audible region for sounds output from sound source objects present in the virtual space. The video game processing apparatus 100 determines whether the listening position P is located within the audible region or not, calculates a listening distance representing the distance from the position of a sound source object 202 corresponding to the audible region 201 to the listening position based on the determination that the listening position P is located within the audible region 201, specifies the listening direction representing the direction in which sounds are heard at the listening position, derives listening sounds according to the listening distance and listening direction, and updates acoustic information according to the derived listening sounds. |
