<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus that is considered to eliminate obstruction such as a signal line or an ink supply tube connected to a carriage, when removing a jammed medium to be recorded. <P>SOLUTION: A carriage 63 with a recording head 64 to perform recording by ejecting ink moves in a direction perpendicular to the direction of feeding paper P. An ink supply tube 67 or head signal line 68 is extended from the carriage 63, and is deformed following the movement of the carriage 63. The ink supply tube 67 or head signal line 68 is deformed or moved in the direction retracting from an area A where the jammed paper P is removed from the feeding path by a rod 72, clip 73 and holder 74.
