The element has a section comprising a reversed V-shaped cross-section. Two blades are allowed to extend from a side of the section. Two longitudinal trenches (6) are separated by a central blade (7). Each face of the central blade is arranged with a shoulder (8) extending towards an opposite side of the longitudinal trenches so as to form a stringer (5) that receives a side of a translucent section. Two spacer elements are placed along an edge of a frame that is provided with a set of LED type light sources. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for receiving a translucent layer (2) a light box.
