The device has an illumination device for producing a line of light on a surface of a food product (11). A verification device receives images of the product surface. The illumination device comprises a light source (23) e.g. laser diode, and generates a light beam (45), which is expanded and propagated in a direction of a scanning region for the product in a scanning line. The illumination device has an optically effective device i.e. Fresnel lens (47), which is formed in a propagation path of the light beam and works against divergence of a part of incident light. An independent claim is also included for a high-power slicing device for slicing food products. |
