A ceramic lined valve comprises a valve body 20 having an end connection 50 such as a flange for coupling the valve in fluid communication with a fluid flow conduit and a flow control member 26 within the valve body 20. A lining 30 within the valve body 20 comprises a single piece of ceramic which extends from the flow control member 26 to the end connection 50. The lining 30 defines a valve seat abutting the flow control member 26. A ceramic covering 40 forms a coupling face of the end connection 50 separate from and juxtaposed to the lining 30. The valve may be a ball, butterfly or gate valve. |
